You can now tweet at any NFL or NBA team using your favorite social network.
Using the new Twitter app, the teams Twitter feeds now show up as well.
You can tweet at the following Twitter teams: The Los Angeles Lakers (Twitter.com/Lakers) The Cleveland Cavaliers (Twitter: clevelandcavs) Minnesota Timberwolves (Twitter) Denver Nuggets (Twitter (@DEN) San Antonio Spurs (Twitter): sacs (Twitter)Auburn University (Twitter), the University of Alabama (Twitter).
It’s a neat feature, especially since you can now follow players on all of the teams social media platforms.
I love this.
The Lakers and Cavs were previously the only teams in the league that didn’t have Twitter accounts, and it would have been fun to see their tweets appear on the feed.
But Twitter’s update comes as part of the team’s ongoing push to connect with fans through its social media efforts.
While it is a great way to get updates from the teams, there are still some issues with it.
There is currently a restriction on using Twitter to share video.
And while you can share images from the team feeds, those images will appear as white squares on the bottom of the tweet.
Twitter said in its announcement that this is because the teams’ feed photos have a different aspect ratio from their Twitter feed photos.
In the case of the Cavs and Lakers, the team has changed its photo format and the tweet itself has been changed from a picture of the player to a video.
